On August 18, Hon. Winston Chitando, Zimbabwe’s Minister of Mines and Mining Development, led a delegation to visit Huayou Cobalt’s headquarters. Chen Xuehua, Chairman of Huayou Cobalt, extended a warm welcome.

Recently, following a unanimous nomination and approval by the Global Battery Alliance (GBA) Board of Directors, Huayou Recycling was formally admitted to the Circularity & Critical Minerals Advisory Group (CCMAG)—a core working body of GBA. This milestone reaffirms Huayou Recycling’s internationally recognized leadership in driving sustainability across the global battery supply chain.

The “Huayou Dream-Building” Scholarship, part of the “Tongxiang Excellence in Education” initiative under Huayou Cobalt’s 50 million yuan Common Prosperity Fund, is a tailored program supporting top-performing Tongxiang students admitted to C9 League universities. In 2025, 37 outstanding students from Tongxiang—including three enrolled at Central South University—will each receive a 10,000 yuan scholarship to kickstart their academic journeys.

On August 24, H.E. Sigit Reliantoro, Director General of Sustainable Environment and Natural Resources Management at Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment/Environmental Control Bureau, led a delegation to visit Huayou Quzhou Base. Chen Xuehua, Chairman of Huayou Holding Group, jointly hosted the visit with Yang Jianqiang, Party Secretary and Chairman of CITIC Construction, and their teams. Representatives from all three parties held discussions centered on sustainable development and explored collaborative opportunities.

Recently, the Zhejiang Charity Federation announced its 2024 list of commended advanced members and special committees. Chen Xuehua, Chairman of Huayou Cobalt, was awarded the title of "2024 Outstanding Individual" by the Zhejiang Charity Federation. On August 15th, Huayou Cobalt held the launch meeting for its "15th Five-Year" ESG Strategic Plan and an ESG special training session at the company headquarters. The meeting focused on the profound changes and challenges in global ESG policies, aiming to scientifically integrate ESG concepts into the company's core DNA. This initiative is designed to drive Huayou to seize opportunities amid global industrial restructuring and the evolution of economic globalization 2.0, positioning the company as a responsible benchmark in the new energy materials industry. President Chen Hongliang attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Recently, the 2025 Auto New Productivity Development Forum was grandly held, co-organized by China Certification & Inspection (Group) Co., Ltd. and China Economic Information Service, with support from China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. and China Automotive Industry Consulting Committee. Huayou Recycling was successfully selected as an "Outstanding Case of 2025 Auto New Productivity" for its innovative triad practice of "technology leadership + zero-carbon operations + global footprint," becoming the sole enterprise recognized in the lithium battery recycling sector.

From August 5th to 6th, the "2025 International Battery Summit (IBS) & Exhibition" was held in Jakarta. Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

Huayou Cobalt has released an impressive mid-year performance report: from January to June 2025, the company expects to achieve net profits ranging from RMB 2.6 billion to RMB 2.8 billion, representing a year-on-year surge of 55.62% to 67.59%.

To commemorate its 10th anniversary, Chengdu B&M held a technology launch and strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony. On the SSE E-Interaction platform, Huayou Cobalt (603799.SH) recently revealed that its subsidiary Bamo Technology now supplies large cylindrical and cylindrical battery cathode materials accounting for nearly 40% of total cathode material sales, powering renowned electric vehicle (EV) brands globally.

On July 22, The 2025 Fortune China 500 ranking was released today, with Huayou Cobalt (603799.SH) securing the 278th position with $8.47 billion in revenue (RMB 59.99 billion) in 2024, climbing two places from the previous year.

On July 24, a delegation from Indonesia’s Workshop on Safe Production in Mineral Resource Development visited Huayou Cobalt’s Quzhou Industrial Park for on-site inspections and technical exchanges. The event focused on sharing China’s advanced practices in mineral resource development and safety management, aiming to deepen Sino-Indonesian cooperation and promote sustainable growth in Indonesia’s mining sector.
